Lighthearted Infotainment for Parents, Teachers, & Children.

NC Culture Kids is a collaboration between the Marketing & Communications team at the NC Department of Natural and Cultural Resources (DNCR) and subject matter experts across the state. I was brought on to bring the team’s ideas into production, editing, and publication.

An Ocean of Obstacles

Each year, female loggerhead sea turtles make their way to beaches all along the Atlantic Ocean to lay their eggs. After creating their nest and laying around 100 eggs, the mothers return to the ocean and wait for their eggs to hatch and make their way to the water. But these hatchlings must overcome many obstacles and avoid predators before they make it to their final destination.
